We look forward to having our members join us online for this year’s annual meeting. This will be an opportunity to hear from Director Judy Margles and Board Chair Jeff Mazer on the work of the museum over the last year as well as what lies ahead as we reopen. Retiring board members will be thanked for their service and new board members will be welcomed.
Guest speaker Melissa Martens Yaverbaum, Executive Director of the Council of American Jewish Museums, will share observations from the field of Jewish museums over the past year – including their responses, setbacks, and innovations throughout the COVID-period. In her talk, From Upheaval to Reinvention: Jewish Museums Before and After the Pandemic she will explore ideas and questions pressing on the field, including changing narratives and leadership structures, different kinds of partnerships, philanthropic considerations, and some of the particular opportunities and responsibilities for Jewish museums.
We are grateful for your participation and encourage you to consider supporting our virtual programs.
