Writing Guidelines
A full range of writing formats are permissible including essay, poetry, play, short story, and letter:
- Entries must address the prompt and make a clear connection to Holocaust history.
- Entries must be titled and the title must appear on each page of the submission.
- Entries must be formatted in black, 12 point font, and include margins of 1” on top, bottom, left and right.
- Entries may not exceed 1,500 words.
- Upload your writing as a .pdf with the title of the writing as the file name using the registration form .
Art Guidelines
A full range of 2-D techniques and materials are permissible including paints, charcoal, pencil, oil and chalk pastels and photography:
- Entries must address the prompt and make a clear connection to Holocaust history
- Entries must include a typed artist statement of one to two sentences describing the connection between the prompt and the artwork.
- Upload up to two photos of the artwork as .jpegs with the title of the artwork as the file name using the registration form.
- Upload the artist statement as a .pdf file with the title of the artwork using the registration form.
